Brendan Fogarty
Founder and executive director
With experience in public policy, research, and operations, Brendan approaches challenges with a hands-on and results-oriented perspective.
Before founding Beacon Foundry, Brendan worked as Chief of Staff and Director of Policy at Horizons for Homeless Children, where he managed strategic planning, legislative advocacy, and collaborations with state and city partners to improve childcare and community services.
His previous roles include directing policy and stakeholder engagement for the Common Start Coalition, helping draft universal childcare legislation, and serving as Deputy Director at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, where he worked on fare policy and program improvements. Earlier in his career, Brendan gained experience in analytics and strategy at Amazon Web Services and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Brendan holds a degree in Government with a minor in Economics from Harvard University. He brings a straightforward and pragmatic approach to his work, focusing on solutions that drive impact.
